After dedicating over 20 years to entertaining and educating children through interactive media, Jack found his true calling helping adults improve their health, fitness, and well-being through functional movement and fitness training. He believes strongly that positive physical, mental and emotional benefits can be achieved through the application of good fitness habits, beginning with good breathing and movement, both in athletic pursuits and activities of daily life.
Jack received his certifications in personal training with ACE, levels 1 and 2 Functional Movement Screening with FMS, and Functional Range Conditioning with Functional Anatomy Seminars. He is also trained in fitness instruction utilising kettlebells and suspension trainers (TRX) with YMCAFit, strength and conditioning with UKSCA and floor-based strength and mobility with Animal Flow. Jack employs core stability and breathing retraining techniques studied with Immaculate Dissection. and Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (‘DNS’).
In addition to fitness, Jack is passionate about food, cooking and nutrition. Have a look at the Food Dude! section of this site.
Recreationally, Jack enjoys hiking, scuba diving and playing softball, and has recently taken up cold-water swimming along with Sue.
